Dr. Lee at RainStone Systems, LLC has 34 years of experience in GN&C subsystem and spacecraft systems engineering including attitude control, attitude determination, precision pointing, and jitter analysis as well as avionics HW and ACS algorithm development.  His GN&C and spacecraft systems engineering experience spans the entire product design cycle from proposal preparations and initial concept studies to on-orbit checkout and customer acceptance. Dr. Lee’s background includes demonstrated leadership skills to direct multi-disciplinary team of engineers. His professional experience includes close working relations with business development, government, and industry leaders.

Currently Dr Lee is providing GN&C systems support to JPSS-1 and JPSS-2 for NASA GSFC.  Previously, Dr Lee was a consultant to Northrop Grumman supporting NPOESS systems engineering and GN&C development.  Dr. Lee was Engineering Fellow and Chief Engineer at Raytheon in Tucson, AZ, Spacecraft Systems Engineering Manager, and Guidance, Navigation, and Control Subsystem Manager at Northrop Grumman Corporation at Space Park in Redondo Beach, CA. Dr. Lee directed Spacecraft Systems Engineering for the GOES-R program while at Northrop Grumman Corporation. He also led the development of Guidance, Navigation, and Control Subsystem for NASA’s Aqua and Aura spacecraft launched in 2002 and 2004. Both spacecraft are operating in sun-synchronous orbits and are generating scientific data to increase our understanding of global warming and climate change.
